Boppli provides continuous, non-invasive blood pressure (cNIBP) monitoring for infants, including premature neonates, in critical care settings. Boppli reports systolic, diastolic and mean arterial blood pressure (BP) values comparable to an invasive arterial line (IAL) when used in conjunction with SpO2 monitoring. The Boppli Band is a single-use, battery-powered blood pressure monitor that uses a thin, flexible sensor to monitor blood pressure continuously (unlike cuff-based devices) and non-invasively. The Boppli Band wirelessly pairs with the Boppli Bedside Device to enable live display of BP and pulse rate, and review of recorded BP data over time.
The baby experiences less pain and distress, one fewer wire, and reduced infection and blood clot risk as opposed to an IAL. The family is comforted knowing their baby is in less pain and distress, and resting more comfortably as opposed to an IAL. Nurses benefit from workload reduction, increasing their opportunity to provide more effective care. Physicians observe BP changes in real-time, allowing better informed and more timely patient care decisions.
