The Couplet Care Bassinet is a hospital infant bed system designed for postpartum rooming-in. Its overbed extending design, adjustable height, and removable sidewall enable mothers to safely access their newborns from the hospital bed without requiring a second adult in the room. The rotating tub and swivel mechanism accommodate various bed configurations and seated adjustments. Co-designed with clinicians, parents, and researchers, it supports breastfeeding initiation, safe sleep, and maternal recovery while reducing unnecessary nursing calls and the risk of infant drops and accidental suffocation. The bassinet is in use in labor and delivery and postpartum units across the United States.
