About Us

Ceribell is a medical technology company focused on transforming the diagnosis and management of patients with serious neurological conditions.

Ceribell has developed the Ceribell System, a novel electroencephalography (“EEG”) platform specifically designed to address the unmet needs of preterm neonates through adults in the acute-care setting. By combining proprietary, highly portable, and rapidly deployable hardware with its artificial intelligence (“AI”)-powered Clarity® algorithm, the Ceribell System enables rapid diagnosis and continuous monitoring of patients with neurological conditions.

Ceribell’s Clarity algorithm is FDA 510(k) cleared for indicating suspected seizure activity and, as part of the Ceribell System, is utilized in ICUs, NICUs, PICUs, and emergency rooms across the U.S. For more information, visit www.ceribell.com.

Innovation in Motion: Enabling 24/7 Continuous EEG for the Smallest Patients

Ceribell’s industry-leading Rapid EEG system was originally engineered to redefine seizure detection and management in adults. By combining highly portable hardware with its Clarity® AI-powered algorithm, Ceribell enables rapid, bedside diagnosis where traditional EEG access may fall short.

For neonate and pediatric patients, care may be delayed because EEG is simply not available. In the developing brain, diagnostic and treatment delays can have long-term neurocognitive impact. That’s why Ceribell committed years of specialized development to bridge the gap for these vulnerable patients.

Optimizing Your Hospital’s Neonatal and Pediatric EEG Program

Through dedicated R&D, Ceribell became the first and only provider of an FDA-cleared seizure detection algorithm for pre-term neonates through adults enabling rapid bedside detection, diagnosis, and treatment of non-convulsive seizures. Ceribell provides a comprehensive ecosystem, enabling hospitals to efficiently offer a complete EEG program to continuously monitor patients in acute-care settings.:

Rapid, Gentle EEG Placement

  • Easy to Use: EEG devices can be placed in under 10 minutes by any trained provider, ensuring immediate access to data.
  • Comfortable: A headcap designed specifically for neonatal skin fragility integrates with routine CARES, allowing frequent skin checks and the ability to perform head ultrasounds.
  • Universal Fit: A dedicated Headcap (26cm–46.5cm) for neonates and a Headband (45cm–66cm) for pediatric patients designed for a comfortable, safe, and secure fit.

Precision Monitoring

  • The Clarity® AI algorithm provides continuous, accurate, and billable monitoring for patients as young as 25 weeks postmenstrual age to quickly rule out seizures or triage suspected activity at the bedside.

Expert Interpretation

  • To support 24/7 coverage, Ceribell facilitates Tele-EEG services via third-party providers, offering on-demand interpretations and clinical impression reports to supplement hospital neurology teams.*

By addressing the unique physiological needs of neonatal and pediatric patients, Ceribell is fulfilling its mission to establish a new standard of care in the acute-care setting—helping clinicians save lives through immediate, actionable brain health insights.

*Note: Tele-EEG services are available in select states.

Case Study: How Hospitals Are Detecting an Invisible Threat in Pediatric Care

How do you treat a seizure with no outward signs? For one three-and-a-half-year-old, traditional diagnostics weren't enough. Despite a history of staring episodes, both a routine EEG and a three-day home study were normal.

Everything changed in the emergency department (ED) with Ceribell Point-of-Care (POC) EEG.

The Breakthrough:

· Non-Convulsive Seizure Detection: 40 minutes into the recording, the EEG detected focal non-convulsive seizures.

· Silent Symptoms: The seizures occurred while the patient was sleeping in their mother's arms, showing no overt clinical signs.

· Rapid Resolution: Immediate administration of lorazepam and valproate sodium resolved the seizures.

The Result:

With the rapid, critical diagnostic support of the Ceribell POC EEG, the young patient is now seizure-free on medication.

This case demonstrates the vital importance of accessible, continuous EEG monitoring in the ED to capture what routine 20-minute studies often miss.
