WavelyDx® helps you evaluate an ear infection remotely, expanding the conditions you can treat over telehealth. WavelyDx’s first app detects middle ear fluid using the smartphone already in your patient’s home, pairing the phone with a disposable paper ear tip to create an acoustic reflectometer that gives a binary “likely” or “unlikely” middle ear fluid result.
Providers distribute the ear tips broadly as part of routine care or via targeted mailings, so when a suspected ear infection occurs, caregivers can scan their child’s ears and share the result. Combining this result with American Academy of Pediatric guidelines allows you to diagnose and treat an ear infection over a virtual visit, driving higher patient engagement, lower no show/late cancellation rates, and more efficient clinic staff management.
