In this opening clip, Christie shares the personal journey that led her to co‑found Kismet Health with Dr. Cierra Goff and the spark that shaped the company’s mission. It’s a look at why Kismet Health exists and the experiences that inspired its creation.
Here, Christie explains what Kismet Health is in clear, approachable terms and describes how their telehealth platform is designed to support — not replace — the in‑person care clinicians already provide. It’s a helpful orientation to the platform’s purpose, philosophy, and thoughtful design for healthcare.
We’re grateful to Christie and the Kismet Health team for opening up about their journey and for being part of the growing community of innovators on PedsMrkt. Every founder brings a new perspective, a new solution, and a new spark to pediatric care. Together, we’re building an ecosystem where those ideas can take root and reach the clinicians who need them.

The My PowerPak app was created to harness love, care, and true support, and to turn those emotions into meaningful action. While keeping people informed is important, empowering them to do something is life changing. During medical crises or caregiving challenges, friends and family often ask, “What can I do?” My PowerPak puts that answer in the palm of your hand. It is completely free, with no strings attached.
Caring for a loved one should not require juggling endless texts, calendars, and donation links across different apps. My PowerPak brings everything into one place so families can focus their energy where it matters most: supporting each other.
When Rady Children’s Hospital explored new ways to strengthen family support, My PowerPak stood out as a simple, human solution in a sea of scattered tools. Families facing medical uncertainty often juggle multiple apps, phone lists, and group texts just to stay organized. My PowerPak brings those threads together in one place for communication, coordination, and encouragement.
After a thoughtful review by Rady leadership and the Patient Family Advisory Council, the hospital formally endorsed and integrated My PowerPak into its patient support materials. Each admission packet now includes a bilingual one-page guide to help families get started immediately. Department leaders across PICU, CTICU, NICU, Medical, Hem/Onc, Social Work, and Child Life have participated in live demonstrations to ensure staff are ready to introduce the resource to families. As the Associate Chief Nursing Officer shared, “The team is truly excited about your program.”
Rady’s commitment goes beyond endorsement. Flyers now welcome families in many department lobbies, and continued collaboration helps refine how My PowerPak supports real-world needs. This partnership reflects a shared goal: making every family’s journey a little easier and reminding them they are never alone in it.
